We work mostly with Asians and recently had a friend Ch, who came to faith about 18 months ago, get baptised in our own bathtub just a few weeks ago! The rest of our DBS group (about 12 people) gathered in the bathroom. The girl Ch went through an intense spiritual challenge for 2 weeks leading up to her baptism where she began to question her faith in God and her own commitment to Him. Hearing this made me realise that baptism must be so much more significant than we realise. Why else would she go through such an intense battle with the enemy trying to prevent her? Towards the end of her battle she decided to simply ask God whether He thought she should get baptised and was very surprised when she got an answer in her head immediately…she said it was a very clear “yes” with a joyful voice!
I loved that!!! I hope we can all hear that joyful voice more and more!
If you read this, please pray for Ch as she has grown significantly and has begun to facilitate DBS studies in our home but still struggles with long held addictions and also with discipline to spend time alone with God. She wants to but just can’t make it a habit in her life. Please also pray for her to develop a genuine heart and vision for reaching the lost and for making disciples. Thank you!!
