Tribe Time Update

(Posted 28 May, 2019)

We’ve nearly run out of available bedrooms at the campsite – only a few spare beds left.

Email for info on the remaining spots or register for the day sessions (you’ll just need to organise your own accommodation).

Are you ready for it?  It’s time to start the countdown to Tribe Time 2019.

We’re excited to invite you to Tribe Time 2019.
God is doing great things around the globe. We live in a special place and time of history where movements are sweeping through people groups and nations. These Disciple Making Movements (DMM) are transforming communities. If you are hungry to be part of what God is doing, then join with us, as we get together to pour fuel on the fire.
Tribe Time is for those who are committed to make disciples that multiply.. It’s for anyone who is part of the ‘DMM Tribe’.  We will learn together, pray passionately together, look at the Bible together and be spurred on to make disciples in our world, wherever that may be.
Look forward to seeing you all in June.

Dave and Colleen Lawton

 What’s Tribe Time?

Each year we gather as the wider Praxeis community as well as those who are committed to make disciples where ever they are. We come together from around Australia and internationally. It’s a time to be refreshed, get to know one another, be encouraged and spur each other on to carry out the vision God has given us.

We will spend time across the weekend praying, building relationships and going deeper into the DMM strategy. If you are keen to make disciples that multiply come and join us! If you’re connected with Praxeis in any way, we encourage you to be there! Registration for Tribe Time is now open. Don’t forget to invite your family and team!

When is Tribe Time?

Arrive: 5pm, Friday 7 June 2019

Depart: 1pm, Tuesday 11 June 2019

For many states, this is the Queen’s Birthday long weekend.

The venue is not available until 5pm on Friday afternoon. If you arrive before 5pm, drop your luggage at the campsite and take the afternoon to sightsee around Burleigh Heads.

Where is Tribe Time and how do I get there?

We will be staying at CYC Burleigh Heads. Click here to see the location.

CYC Burleigh Heads is located 10mins drive from Gold Coast airport. Fly to Gold Coast Airport and catch an Uber or cab to the venue. CYC has limited parking so where possible please avoid bringing a car. Let us know if you need an airport transfer, we may be able to arrange a group transfer.

What will Tribe Time cost?

$299 per person (includes accommodation and all meals)

$265 per family member for a family of 4 or more (children 4 and under are free)

Linen package:  $25 per person

If you would like the Linen Package, select the ticket/s that indicate ‘+ Linen Package’ when you register.

If you already have accommodation available nearby, you are welcome to join us during the day. Just register for a ‘Day Ticket’ ($232) which will cover everything you need during the day (all meals) but excludes accommodation.

Have family and kids?

Bring them!

The venue has lots of undercover space and we will have a room dedicated to kids activities. The venue is walking distance to many natural areas (beach, national park) so plenty of space for the kids to burn their energy.

The dorm rooms are close to the main meeting hall, so baby monitors etc will work.
Our heart is that Tribe Time is accessible for everyone who wants to be a part of it. If you have special needs or queries, please email

What will we be doing at Tribe Time?

Our time together will be spent doing what we at Praxeis love to do: listening to God and his word, praying, worshipping God, hanging out, resting, recreational activities … and of course eating!

The program won’t be overly full and there will be some space for everyone to chill out and catch up over a coffee.

Where will I sleep at Tribe Time?

There are plenty of ensuited dormitory rooms available.

These are all in close proximity to the meeting room and dining hall.

Linen and pillows are not provided. If you would like linen provided, there is an extra cost of $25 per person (choose the appropriate ticket when you register). The linen package includes sheets, doona, bath towel, pillow and pillowcase.

You can let us know if you need linen when you register.

Please note: the average temperature will be 12c (55f) at night and around 22c (72f) during the day. Make sure you bring appropriate bedding and clothing!

What will we eat at Tribe Time?

All meals are inclusive in the registration cost including a fully catered

breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. For coffee lovers there will be a coffee cart open for a freshly brewed coffee! Bring gold coins to give as a donation.

Please let us know if you have dietary requirements or allergies when you register.

What should we bring to Tribe Time?

– Pillow, sleeping bag or linen

– Bath towel

– Whatever you need to take notes

Be aware that June is Australia’s winter, although Queensland is a northern state.

We will be close to the beach so if you are brave enough to swim bring all that you need. Be prepared for both sunshine and cooler even wet weather.
