Outback Connections

God’s heart for the outback

For many years there has been a decline in the many towns throughout western Queensland, because of social, economic and spiritual issues. These issues have arisen due to poor government policy, mining exploration and an unwillingness by the church to embrace the changes in their communities and as a result the church has moved from being a voice of hope to a voice of religion from a bygone past.

To use the words of Jesus, “they are harassed and helpless like sheep without a shepherd. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” God is grieving over the people of the outback and is asking His people to bring His hope into these communities.

We believe the time has come to start reaping the harvest that God is preparing in the west. So we have a simple vision to connect the outback with Christ under God’s guidance. To build a team of people committed to multiplying disciples out of the harvest. You can join the team!

Becoming a team member

Prayer – Every team need fans to cheer them on, as a prayer partner you are cheering the team in the game of making disciples that multiply.  For a movement of God to become a reality it will need a team of people willing to pray persistently and passionately for the harvest God is preparing in rural and remote QLD.  Movement without prayer is like an eagle without wings; it is merely a dream.   To be a fan please email us at rppkturner@bigpond.com

Resourcing the vision – Every team has sponsors, as a financial partner you are sponsoring the team to achieve the vision of God’s kingdom coming into every part of rural and remote QLD.  We need a team of financial partners who will join with us to see the harvest ripened and brought into the kingdom.   To be a sponsor please email us at rppkturner@bigpond.com

Workers for the harvest – Every team needs players on the ground.  As a player you take responsibility for seeing the great commission fulfilled in your relational network.  If you want to join the team as a player please email us at rppkturner@bigpond.com

The game plan

We Pray and Fast for the harvest.

We Go and Connect in the harvest.

We Disciple and Equip people from the harvest.

We teach people from the harvest to Reproduce and Multiply disciples.

Coffee Connect Trailer

We use the coffee connect trailer as a way of accessing a community to find people of peace who are open spiritual, hungry to learn more and willing to share this out in their relational network.  All profits from the trailer go towards a youth initiative in that local community in which are working at the time.

We also use the trailer to help students in remote schools to learn basic barista Coffee connect trailerskills to help enhance their skill base for future employment.
