The Seattle metropolitan area with a population numbering approximately 3.7 million is bound by the beautiful Cascade mountain range to the east and the cool Puget Sound waters to the west. Defining the metro area is Lake Washington. It separates the heart of Seattle from the Eastside suburbs of Kirkland, Bellevue, and Redmond.
This metropolitan area, the largest in the state of Washington, is headquarters to several global companies including Amazon, Boeing, Microsoft, Costco and Starbucks. The rise of technology companies like Microsoft and Amazon has led to a fast growing economy, and a growing global workforce.
Whether reflective of Seattle’s entrepreneurial spirit, the region’s alluring beauty to outdoor adventurists, or increasing cultural diversity, Seattle is recorded as being one of the least churched regions in America. According to Barna.org the Seattle metro area ranks seventh on America’s most unchurched cities. Fifty percent of the population has either never regularly attended a church, or previously attended regularly but not at all in the past six months.
Our team is prayerfully engaging with God, to see groups of disciples emerge from the harvest fields who understand the heart of God for themselves and their communities. The team is engaged in their neighborhoods, schools, businesses, with refugees and the nations across the Eastside.
